We know how hard it is to find a good London builder so we thought we’d be cheeky and provide our top tips…..
1. Trust is the foundation to success
We understand that everyone is unique and has different ideas, tastes and requirements in making their property their home. Whether you need a new kitchen, bathroom, a loft extension or want to build your ideal home from scratch, it is important that you instruct a builder who fills you with confidence and who listens to you and understands every aspect and detail of your project. Your builder should be trustworthy and reliable, after all you are putting your property in their hands!
2. The devil is in the detail
Preparation and planning is the key to a smooth running project. Over the years we have worked on projects of all shapes and sizes, exactly tailored to each clients needs and desires. This knowledge and experience coupled with our passion for design and build allows us to bring a fresh approach to the building industry of spending as much time as it takes with each client going through every intricate detail of the project before we start.
3. Build a relationship as well as a home
Building a positive relationship with your builder will reap hefty rewards. We know that you may change your mind and want to add or change elements of the project as it progresses. A good builder will monitor the project closely and will advise how to make these amends, and when, as well as spot if there are more efficient ways of doing things or if changes will add to the project timeline. Our aim is to help you add value to our home and for you to enjoy both the project and the result so have implemented a project management system to enable each client to stay up to date with the project every step of the way.
4. Safety first, safety always
When on site we know how important it is that your home is kept safe. A good building site should always be kept clean and tidy and all workers should wear the correct regulatory attire. The industry is heavily regulated now so look out for accreditations such as ISO 9001 (we have this!). We don’t believe in cutting corners here and have invested heavily in this area to ensure that both your home and our workers have the right Health & Safety procedures in place at all times.
5. Vote of Confidence
Still unsure who to instruct? Ask around! Recommendations from friends and neighbours are important and useful, as are forums on websites such as Nappy Valley.
We have an enviable track record of delivering exceptional projects, but don’t just take our word for it, have a look for yourselves and see what our clients and peers say over at Houzz where you will also see our awards and accreditations.
